Sun 5th November 2011

So ive decided to start up this food diary so that i can keep an eye on my eating habits and eating patterns around food and also exercise.  I have gained a little weight recently rising up to approx 11 stone 5lb a couple of weeks ago (this was clothed and in the afternoon, as well as close to my period).  I have always thought that around the 10stone mark is a great weight for me to maintain at, and I have hovered around the middle to upper 10stone for a good few years now, though I do not weigh myself very often at all I am pretty sure judging by my clothing that I dont move to much around that range of weight.  I do feel that, though I am perfect at this weight, I would like to kerb some of my sugar and wheat eating habits and in the process get back in to the middle 10stone range.  To help me be more aware of what I am eating and when, I decided to start this blog.
-I got a little tip from a friend of mine last night, that she drinks a pint of warm water first thing when she wakes up and then doesnt have breakfast for half an hour after that time...she finds that she eats a lot less and more healthily and it really sets her up for a healthy day.  I might try this tomorrow morning, as I am working at the cafe at 11 so will have more time then usual in the morning.

10am - 2peices gluten free toast and butter with marmite and a chunk of wheat baguette and butter....a small bite of lemon cake.
1pm - medium size bowl of maple crunch granola and low fat natural yoghurt.
3pm - Rye bread sandwich with 3veggi sausages and a fried egg+ketchup.....cup earl grey tea.
5pm - cup of sweetened milky chai and a mouthful of pasta bake
7pm - half packet of Gnochi w/tbsp pesto, cheese, and mushrooms and courgette
9pm - half big choc cookie and a little square lemon cake

Obviously quite a lot of sweet stuff in there, didnt really need the choc chip cookie but really hard to resist and did well at not eating the whole thing!  Also not really necessary to eat the granola as not very hungry at all and would have been fine to drink something and maybe have a little yoghurt and jam.  Not many veggis at all, would like to see more greens!    xxx
